[Bug]: Cant create new Passkeys

What happened?

I cannot create new Passkeys. There is just the Error Message:

(translation missing, this is my fault but the message is clear)

There is coming no error in console or anywhere else.

The Migration is migrated.

Sorry - I know this is an older issue - but is exactly what I am experiencing too. "Something went wrong generating the passkey".

Apologies in advance if my terminologies are not correct - I am new to Laravel.

In my case:

1. All the code and the package is in place, composer runs well, the route, the macros, the configs, the database table, all troubleshooting indicates that it should work - no errors in the log, or in the console, artisan optimize:clear and all that passes.
2. When I create the passkey, it asks me for my Windows Hello pin, which I provide, and then gives me a message "You can now log in using..." but then the error.
3. I noticed that the passkeys table remains empty.
4. Creating a custom store class for the saving of the passkeys to log the process of saving to the database, results in nothing being entered into the log, meaning that the code is most likely not even reached for some reason.
5. I am using LastPass but I have even disabled it completely, and no luck yet.
6. Site is running on localhost:8000 at this time without SSL. Potential issue?
7. Using Laravel 12, 1.0 of the package, and Windows, and PHP 8.4 like OP.

Has anyone else experienced this? Anything else I can do to try and solve this? Some cache I need to clear other than the usuals using artisan? Is disabling LastPass enough to prevent any issues here? I have before saved credentials in LastPass for the site.

Just as a test I used Laragear instead of this library, and the Laragear Webauthn works - can create Passkeys and they function. So if this is not a bug in this package, then I am doing something weird wrong.

I forgot to mention that with the Laragear option I installed a self-signed SSL cert. But even with that SSL this package does not work for me - so leaving it at Laragear one for now until I can find a solution.
