How close Firmware/OpenSteamController is to vcf_wired_controller_d0g_57bf5c10.bin?

Sorry if this is already answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

How much of original firmware binary is in Firmware/OpenSteamController? Is it a good starting point for fixing bugs/adding new features?

I think that the Firmware/OpenSteamController was reverse engineered from valve's last official release. I'm only chiming in because @greggersaurus seems to have "clocked out" on this project.
