Description

Getting this error repeatedly:

The RealParent on Microsoft.Maui.Controls.Shapes.RoundRectangle has been Garbage Collected. This should never happen. Please log a bug: https://github.com/dotnet/maui

Seems to have only started after our last release last week.

Actually I am a bit confused about how the options in those lists when raising a bug tie in with what I see when I do a dotnet workload list. This is what I have today:

I ran a dotnet workload update around 2 weeks ago so I assume that puts me on the latest version, but how do I know if this is 9.0.110 SR11?

The exact version I had prior to this I am not sure of, but I generally run a dotnet workload update at least once a month.

As for code - nothing has changed. We use RoundRectangle in a few places. Here is an example:

In solution .csproj file use a fixed version of Maui

<ItemGroup>
  <PackageReference Include="Microsoft.Maui.Controls" Version="9.0.100" />
</ItemGroup>

try to recompile the solution with different Maui versions (9.0.110, 100, 90, ...) and see if the error disappear, in this way you can find the exact Maui version with the bug

@williambuchanan2 It seems this type of issue was already fixed in the PR below with SR10. Could you try recompiling the solution with the latest MAUI version and check whether the issue still occurs?

Will give it a try, but how do I get the latest version? I undestood dotnet workload update gave me the latest version. Is there something else I need to do?

The latest available version is Maui 9.0.110 SR11, you can use it by setting the version as i suggested in the upper comment
