hanging indent

Hello,

I need to generate a table where cells have hanging indents. For example, the Title below has a hanging indent:

Bear in mind that I am not talking about cells containing multiple paragraphs; each cell has 1 paragraph, but all lines except the first one within the paragraph have a different indentation.

I haven't found any way to get the behaviour I want; if it's already implemented I'd appreciate if you could point me in the right direction. I have tried with function padding() but does not give me the desired output.

I think this functionality is related to an older thread that was closed, presumably because of inactivity: #435

Unfortunately, it doesn't help. Actually, I think it's more related to section: https://ardata-fr.github.io/flextable-book/cell-content.html#multi-content

But in any case, building a custom paragraph by appending different chunks of text doesn't help, as hanging indentation is a property of the paragraph, not of the text. In other words, if I do something like this:

there is no way to specify the indentation in argument "props".

Does it make sense what I'm saying, or am I missing something?

Maybe you are talking about officer:: fp_tabs () and flextable.

note it works for Word only... In HTML the indent size is hardcoded if I remember correctly

The hanging indent is this parameter in Word:

If you click on "View" -> "Ruler", and place your cursor in the top left cell (where "species" is), you will be able to see where this hanging indent is. I need this hanging indent to be shifted to the right, for example:

The solution you're giving me just inserts a tabulation after "species" and formats such tabulation, but doesn't modify the hanging indent, it stays at 0.

Compare the 2 screenshots. The desired behaviour is the second one, but what I'm getting is the first one.
